| This picture of the western end of Ionian Basin was taken from the summit of Mt. Goddard. The view is southeast. Enchanted Gorge is behind Scylla on the far left. The usual route between the Muir Pass area and Goddard Creek or Martha Lake passes through the swale on the left and crosses the far lake using the two almost touching peninsulas. The two main routes into this region from the Muir Pass area are Wanda Pass and Black Giant Pass. The latter pass is the route into the eastern end of Ionian Basin. |
