North of Glacier Divide Region
With the exception of one picture of Evolution Valley, I have either taken the picture or the picture has been taken with me in it. For the past 40 years I have backpacked in the Sierras from Yosemite in the north to Olancha Pass in the south. The great bulk of my time in the Sierras has been spent between Cottonwood Pass in the south and Donohue Pass in the north. I have traveled most of the trails and cross country routes in this region of the Sierras. I have a particular liking for the desert passes and old abandoned trails. Anyone wishing to know more about these places is welcome to contact me by e-mail at: RLilly@sdsu.edu |
