Agnew, Silver and Mono Lakes
Agnew lake, which is not inside the Ansel Adams wilderness boundaries, is the upper lake.The Rush Creek trail which is visible above the lake is inside the wilderness boundary and starts at the far end of Silver Lake (the middle lake). In the background is Mono Lake. Agnew lake along with two higher lakes, Gem and Waugh, is an artificial lake. The dam was built around 1915. A power house is below Agnew lake. The picture was taken from the high point about a 0.5 mile ne of the northern most Clark lake.
