Glacier Ridge is just past Deadman Canyon in the mid-background of this picture which was taken from a location just a short distance NE of lake 11,200+ which is at the eastern point of Tableland. Glacier Ridge is a narrow knife edge between Deadman Canyon and Cloud Canyon. In 30+ years of exploring the Sierras this is the least visited area I have ever traveled. As far as I know there are only two backpacker pass across the ridge. Coppermine pass crosses at the very southern end of the ridge and "Glacier Ridge Pass"can just be seen to the left of center in the picture above . There are two "interior lake basins", one on the west and the other on the east. For more information about Glacier Ridge see the book "High Sierra by Phill Arnot.
