| Looking down Cloud Canyon from Lion Lake Pass. An old abandon trail goes up the upper end of Cloud Canyon, eventually crossing Glacier Ridge at a point known as Coppermine Pass. There is still evidence of the mining operation that was carried out here in 1919. From this point one can traverse along the ridge (and just below) at the head of Deadman Canyon all the way to Elizabeth Pass. Views from this point are spectacular. The Great Western Divide is visble fromn North Guard to Kaweahs. |
