This picture, looking north over Muir Pass, was taken from the top of Black Giant (13,330'). The lake in the extreme foreground is the lake just east of Black Giant Pass. Lake McDermand and Wanda Lake are visible on the other side of Muir Pass. The Muir trail goes along the near shore of Wanda Lake. Davis Lakes Pass (11,600+) is directly behind the peninsula in Wanda Lake. The Davis Lakes are visible behind Davis Lakes Pass. Mt. McGee is above the Davis Lakes and Mt. Goddard is in the upper left corner of the picture. I consider the view from the top of Black Giant to be superior to that from Mt. Goddard or Mt. Sill. For other views from the top of Black Giant see Mt. McDuffie and Eastern Ionian Basin.
